Preparedness Class #1

Long time no sharing, sorry! Let's just jump right into it:

For those of you who couldn't attend the first Stake preparedness class here are the links to the information that was shared. It was a great class and I hope more of you can make it next time!

First I read this talk: "If Ye Are Prepared Ye Shall Not Fear"

Then we covered the first two classes from Food Storage Made Easy here, direct link to the class downloads.

The main questions we covered were:
Why do you think it’s important to have food storage?
Why do you think building a food storage can be so hard?
Why do you think it’s important to have a have a 3 Month Supply of food?
Why is planning your 3 month supply of food storage difficult?
When shopping for food storage, what are some of the things that frustrate you?
How many of you have had some food go bad because you don’t use it in time?

Also shared was Prepared LDS Family's 3 month food calculator, which I think gives a great example of a 3 month supply of food.

If your ward would like this presented again as a Relief Society class or perhaps a fifth Sunday lesson, I am willing to do it again.

The next class will be March 22nd on gardening.
